The Bright Horizon Children’s Home and School provides a home in a safe environment and access to education for disadvantaged children from the Himalayan region – regardless of their religious, ethnic and social background.
The approximately 250 children live together in family structures and learn early to take responsibility for themselves and the community.
Nepal – Help for children from the roof of the world
Nepal attracts alpinists and tourists from all over the world with its breathtaking eight-thousanders. The landlocked country, bordered by India and China, looks back on an ancient and eventful history.

care for the welfare of the children. At the BHCH, 24 teachers teach and a further 23 people work in care, household and gardening, and administration.
